| dc.description.abstract | The development of communicative competence in a language is the major concern of every language teacher. Foreign language learners are expected to learn not only the grammatical structures and vocabulary of the target language but the proverbs as well so as to integrate and be sensitized towards the value and culture of the people whose language is being studied.
