Abstract
Modern African literature is generally viewed in recent times, as a cultural detachment as a result of its revolutionary stand. This article examines revolutionary tendencies through a dialectical process of culture in progression. No culture is static and no writer writes out of experience. One of the Major findings and conclusion of this analysis, is that the oral elements serves as repertoire for most emergent plays Femi Osofisan`s Plays, Morountodun and Tegonni are used for exemplification here.
