This quantitative study investigated the effectiveness of team-building activities in enhancing trust and transparency within virtual teams, a crucial area given the increasing prevalence of remote work. It addressed the challenges of fostering cohesion in geographically dispersed teams reliant on digital communication. Using surveys and assessments, the research measured the impact of interventions such as virtual workshops and collaborative tasks on key metrics: psychological safety, communication clarity, and accountability. The study sought to measure cognitive and affective trust among virtual team members, evaluate the impact of specific team-building activities on perceived transparency, and identify the most effective activities for enhancing trust. It also examined the correlation between the frequency of these activities and the levels of trust and transparency, while considering the influence of demographic factors. The outcomes of this research would inform strategies to optimise team dynamics, improve decision-making, and mitigate conflicts within virtual teams. The evidence-based findings aimed to guide organisations in developing comprehensive frameworks for virtual team collaboration and performance optimisation. This study would contribute to both academic discourse and practical application in organisational settings, offering insights into strategies that could enhance team performance, collaboration, and productivity in remote work environments.
