Self-help Initiatives as a Complementary Strategy for Rural Development in South East Nigeria

Abstract

Self help initiative have assumed a formidable or complementary strategy adopted by most countries in Africa (including Nigeria) in the development of it rural communities even before the era of independence. This involves the teaming up or coming together of residents of rural communities using the available resources to attain high socio-economic development.
